Recruitment & Induction Process

Recruitment Process 

After application you will be invited in for a registered visit with one of our team, here we will explain Glow Healthcare’s ethos and the work we offer. If your application is successful you will be required to provide the following information:

• Completed Registration Form
  • Full work history
  • Interview with a consultant
  • Proof of Identity
  • Proof of National Insurance Number or other right to work
  • Minimum of 2 satisfactory written references
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
  • Health Declaration
  • Evidence of Qualifications and experience
  • Proof of NMC registration (qualified staff only)

While we are waiting for your reference and DBS to come back, we will put you forward for your induction training

Additional Recruitment Information

Initial Training

Glow Healthcare staff attend mandatory training which meets the requirements of the  nationally recognised Care Certificate induction standards . Training is carried out annually and additional training is given if required. In addition, all staff are issued Glow Healthcare handbooks which details our policies and procedures.

Our training is carried out by an experienced trainer. If you are new to care we will arrange for shadow shifts to be completed, this will give you some experience in a live setting with experienced staff there for support.

Supervisions

• Staff supervisions are carried out every 3 months
  • Field supervision for all staff every 3 months.
  • Spot checks carried out every 3 months.
  • Annual staff appraisals.
